Collector's Edition includes 25 extra levels, additional achievements, strategy guide, the making of Runefall 2, full game soundtrack and desktop wallpapers. Rated 5 out of5 bybeltie fromSo Much Fun Clear graphics, great replay, smooth game mechanics. Can play timed and untimed. Can also replay and change that option. Each level has a certain bonus task to complete. Trophies to obtain in Main GameCE has a Bonus Game that is of generous length and has its' own set of Trophies. You can skip Storyline if you choose, but it is kinda cute and humorous. When this first came out, I didn't like the fact that the screen moved. After getting used to that, it has become one of my favorites.Have already replayed this one and the original again. Can't wait for the next one!
Great job to the Developers! Rated 5 out of5 byElteedee fromGreat Match 3!
I, along with a few others, usually agree with penmom's reviews. This is the one, in living memory that I disagree with. I don't usually buy collector's editions but this one is really good and I, not only could not wait for the standard edition, was compelled to buy the CE. I really like engaging pick-three's and everything in this one keeps me coming back and satisfies that need to find every single crate, dirt and grass spot on the board. Finding hidden spaces is sometimes quite challenging and maybe a little frustrating, in a good way. I'm not in to the story lines so much on any game.more of a meat and potatoes kinda girl.but this story is okay. All in all, I recommend this game to those of us who love this particular type of challenge. Rated 5 out of5 byAlicun fromWorth the CE designation I'm only at the beginning of playing this great match 3 saga. The original was very good.
Runefall 2 fixed the weaknesses of the original version. It is not more of the same. Map is greatly improved. You can stop mid-level and save were you were (an option not available in the original). The characters are a little snarky in a tongue-in-cheek way (I liked it but you can skip the dialog).
Every level seems to have additional map quests which look a lot like the original Runefall. You don't need to have played the original to enjoy the new and improved Runefall 2.
I love HO's but this is a good game to use to recover from the brain drain of HO's. Rated 5 out of5 byCapri66 fromExcellent Match 3 Waited so long for this sequel and I am not disappointed, great game. So much to explore in these levels. Nice story line, tough challenges, great voices, likable characters. The one thing that I did not liked about Runefall (the original game): the progress on a level was not saved if you stop halfway through and the levels are looong. Runefall 2 now saves the progress when you leave a level and you can come back anytime to play further.
Thanks for that feature. Rated 5 out of5 bybubbyc fromSo excited for Runefall 2! I just started playing yesterday but wow what a fun game. I absolutely loved Runefall 1 and it seems the developers really took their time to put out another amazing game. Yes some of the mechanics are the same but otherwise it's a whole other ball game. And yes it's kind of a silly plot but the voices are really well done.
The background music is pleasant enough. I am impressed with the collectors editions extra.
Even if I hadn't used a BOGO, I would have gladly burned two credits on this gem. And I get the feeling, there is going to be a lot of game play in this one, just like the last one.
Rated 5 out of5 byevergreene13 fromSame as before, but with SAVE added I loved the first version of this game, with its huge boards and multiple goals, but once you started a level, you couldn't save your progress, so you either finished it (about 30 minutes, as I recall) or exited and restarted that board later-not really compatible with the demands of real life. THIS version has fixed that.
Same elaborate boards, same cheesy but cute storyline, AND the ability to save at any point, even within a level. This will be one of my favorite M3 games now. Rated 5 out of5 by2020moonlanding fromCheeky Dialogue with a Humorous Storyline for this Charming Match3 Wow! What a lovely game, truly a unique breath of fresh air for this Match3 game. There is a ton of dialogue but I'm finding the story humorous with nice voice acting. The gameplay itself is flawless with super crisp graphics and heaps to do. There are many goals to achieve to complete each level, some required and some not.
Typically you have to find runes and keys to open chests, etc. There are grassy cubes, mounds of dirt, and wooden boxes to destroy to navigate through a moving field of play. There are unique power ups and maps for each level as well. Not sure if it's worth the CE price but it does come with extra levels.
Give the demo a try and see. Rated 5 out of5 bymkgermany fromA great sequel to a great game! I absolutely love Runefall, have played the original game multiple times. I was thrilled when I saw 'Runefall 2' appear, and bought it immediately. It will take you DAYS to finish the game, and there's lots of fun to be had along your journey. The dialogue - and yes, there is a lot of it - is funny and enjoyable; but if it's not your thing, just skip it. Excellent play mechanics, relaxing music.
Some of the puzzles are challenging, but always good.I'm not sure yet (only on Level 7) about the value of the Collector's Edition, but so far this is the only version available. Wish there were a 'hints' option (for example, how to find a particularly elusive Hidden Area), but I am definitely looking forward to playing extra levels.I absolutely recommend this game to all Match-3 fans out there! Rated 5 out of5 byJoybelle2 fromIts the same game with CE Bling.but I still love it This (other than the storyline) plays exactly the same as its predecessor. Fulfill quests, search a map for treasure, open chests, and basically gather as much loot as you can by matching wood, gold, shields (which fill your jump meter) and food.
(There is always an extra bonus task on each level as well) Sometimes you may need to play a minigame to open things. So what makes it a CE? There are achievements, wallpapers, a behind the scenes look, soundtrack, and 25 extra levels once you complete the main game. You are asked in the main game also to unlock extra? Locations by finding map pieces and paying to open them. There are bonuses that help you jump, move fast or explode things etc, earned by taking on quests.
I don't know if they appear if you don't lol?It does play very smoothly, (my first game floated around a bit), and you are asked at the start of each level which mode relaxed or timed if you leave that checked on the menu. You can swap at any time, and relaxed still gets gold on full completion. (I like that it asks you if you want to finish once you have the runes and bonus goal to find quest items or get a gold medal by fully checking and gathering everything). That's where relaxed can become good option if you have a lot of side quest items to find as well as trying to match the sequence order at the top for more resources. Just toggle, as you can choose your level from the map.
All up to your own sense of fulfilled play.It has a good story, but I like to skip and just play.that option is available, The strategy guide is more a 'how to play a clever game' explaining how to use each piece to advantage rather than how to play the levels. You are on your own for that.Really its similar to other games of this ilk, and pretty much the same gameplay again, but it is very user friendly. Things are set out well, and you have choices on what is set to 'on and off'. I bought the CE for the extra levels and achievements, but this is going to please in both SE and CE. Its all just choice.
